Graduate Program
Graduate School of Education
Established on January 9, 1973, the Graduate School of Education aims to train educational specialists through a profound study of educational theory and applications. There are two programs£ºa regular master's program and a research (non-degree-seeking) program.
The entrance quota
shall be 198 students.
There are 32 specialities:

Admission

Admission Period
|
The admission period
shall be within the first 30 days of every semester.
One who meets one
of the following requirements and passes the entrance
examinations shall be admitted: 1.
One who has earned a bachelor's degree from a four-year
college. 2. One who has completed a bachelor's course
abroad and whose qualifications
are approved by the DAU president. 3. One who is
acknowledged as being qualified by the Education
Minister.

Terms of Study
and Attendance
|
The term of study
for course completion shall be five semesters, and the
maximum term of attendance shall be eight semesters.
The period of temporary withdrawal shall not be included
in the term of attendance.
1. One should earn at least 24 credits.
2. One whose undergraduate major is different from
one's graduate major should
complete six additional credits or more in the
prerequisite courses selected
by the dean. However, six majors related
to education are exceptions.

Registration,
Temporary Withdrawal, Reinstatement, Removal,
and Permanent Withdrawal

Registration
|
By paying tuition
fees and applying for courses within the given period,
registration shall be completed.
|

|
|
1.
|
When one cannot attend classes for a
month or more due to illness or other reasons,
one should submit a prescribed form to get
the dean's approval.
|
|
2.
|
The period of temporary withdrawal shall
be at most two consecutive semesters, and
a maximum of four semesters.
|
|
3.
|
Temporary withdrawal for military service
shall not be included in the withdrawal
period.
|
|
4.
|
One who is permitted to withdraw during the registration period shall be exempt
from tuition fees.
|
|

|
One who wants to
return to school should submit a prescribed form within
the first 30 days of the corresponding semester and
receive the dean's approval.
|

|
¡¡
|
|
Each of the following students shall
be removed£º
|
|
1.
|
One who doesn't return to school without
a proper reason within 30 days after the
end of one's temporary leave.
|
|
2.
|
One who fails to register within the
given period of each semester.
|
|
3.
|
One who is regarded as incapable of continuing one's study due to illness or
other reasons.

|
One who wants to
withdraw permanently should submit a form to get the
permission of the DAU president via the dean.
¡¡
|
Research Students
and Foreign Students
|
|
Research Students
|
As in the case
of foreign students, permission for research students
to attend open lectures shall be given within 30 days
of each semester.
Foreign students
with equivalent qualifications can be admitted in addition
to the admission quota through the special screening.

Degree
|
|
Degree Requirements
|
A master's degree
shall be given to the students who have earned graduation
credits and passed all four examinations : foreign language
examinations, general qualifying examinations, the dissertation
screening, and the oral test.
The Graduate School
of Education offers a Master of Education (M. Ed.).
