University Newspapers

The Dong-A Daehakbo, a vernacular newspaper on campus, strives to realize the school precepts£ºFreedom, Truth, and Justice. Its 1st issue in a whole-sheet edition on June 15, 1948, was the first of its kind throughout the nation. With a view to promoting free speech on campus and promoting sound university culture, the newspaper comes out almost every week (except during vacations). With the DAU President as publisher, two faculty advisors and 20-odd student staffs (including student editorialists, student editors, section chiefs and reporters) work hard.
The Dong-A Herald, an English-language magazine, was founded on February 25, 1983, as a news medium to encourage research and facilitate on-and-off campus communications in the era of globalization. A coordinator and a dozen student staff endeavor to issue a quality paper (four times a year) with various columns and rich contents.
