Dong-A Information Center
The main purpose of the Dong-A Information Center, opened in March 1981, is to provide excellent information technology services for university professors, students and staffs to work more efficiently and effectively with leading-edge computer and communication technology. The center is equipped with SUN 3000, SUN 4000 and SUN 5000 computer systems and various special purpose servers. It operates the Information Processing Educational Center (IPEC), which has 576 Pentium PCs and 9 high speed networked laser printers. The IPEC offers courses such as operating systems, word processors, Internet, database management systems, spreadsheets and graphics for professors, staffs and students. The center develops and operates network information systems and knowledge bases with groupware which support various administrative and academic activities of the university.
